Snyder Teases “Army of the Dead,” “League”

Snyder Teases Army Of The Dead League

A first look photo has arrived of “Army of the Dead,” the Netflix zombie heist thriller which serves as the next film from “300” and “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder.

Leading cast member Dave Bautista and other cast members shared an image of the entire cast, a group of mercenaries who will be venturing into the quarantined zombie-infected area of Las Vegas to pull off a daring robbery. Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi, Garret Dillahunt, Raül Castillo, Chris D’Elia, and Ana de la Reguera co-star.

The project marks Snyder’s first time back behind the camera since “Justice League” which he departed during post-production (before reshoots) after suffering a family tragedy. The spectre of that early departure has haunted Comic Con this year as #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fanboys have been handing out flyers and even hired a plane with a banner to advertise their ’cause’.

Part of the problem is that Snyder himself isn’t decrying their actions, revealing this weekend on social media that in his version Wonder Woman decapitated the villain Steppenwolf, but his version “was never finished all the way”.

Speaking of DC films, it was also announced earlier today that the “Superman: Red Son” graphic novel will serve as the basis for a DC animated universe film arriving in 2020.
