Snyder Plans Gritty George Washington Film

Zack Snyder has just begun the interview circuit for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” with some of the first quotes being provided in a new piece for Bloomberg Business today.

But it isn’t the superhero movie talk that has gotten people chatting, rather it’s a bit at the end which hints at a dream project he hopes to get around to one day – a George Washington biopic with a stylised “300”-style look. Here’s the key excerpt:

“One of these days, he’d like to make one about George Washington in the style of 300. He has a picture in his office of the Revolutionary War hero crossing the icy Delaware on his way to decimate the British in the Battle of Trenton. Snyder says: ‘We were talking about it. The first thing we asked was, well, how are we going to make it look? I pointed at this painting. It looks like 300. It’s not that hard.'”

Snyder is committed to making comic book adaptations in the near future though with the first “Justice League” film set to begin shooting in early April.
