Snowpiercer Series Gets An Animated Clip

Following on the heels of its New York Comic-Con panel yesterday, TNT has premiered an animated clip from the upcoming series adaptation of “Snowpiercer” to air on the cable network next year.

The story is set in a desolate future where the Earth has become a nearly-uninhabitable frozen wasteland and much of the human population has been relegated to a perpetually-moving 1,001 car locomotive ten miles long.

The series is an adaptation of both the original graphic novel “Le Transperceneige” and the acclaimed 2013 Bong Joon-ho film adaptation. While that film was set after humanity had been onboard the train for fifteen years, the series is set at an earlier point – seven years after the ‘freeze’.

Also, unlike the film which started in the poor classes at the back and moved forward – the new one will jump perspectives between the various classes throughout.

Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright, Susan Park, Benjamin Haigh, Sasha Frolova and more co-star.
