Kodi Smit-McPhee (“The Road,” “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes”) has been cast as the younger version of Nightcrawler in Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Apocalypse”.
Singer confirmed the casting in a posting to his Instagram account on Tuesday night. Smit-McPhee joins a cast that includes Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Michael Fassbender.
Alan Cumming played the role in 2003’s “X-Men 2,” a blue-skinned and devil-tailed mutant with the ability to teleport. “X-Men: Apocalypse” is set to open May 27th 2016.
