With the departure of actress Nicole Beharie’s Abbie Mills character at the end of last season, the fourth season of FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow” was set to look a little different. Now though it has been revealed that the show is getting a full on overhaul.
TV Line reports that two other regulars – Lance Gross (FBI boss Daniel Reynolds) and Jessica Camacho (FBI agent Sophie Foster) won’t be back as series regulars. Gross will not return at all, Camacho is expected to make a guest appearance or two.
Part of the reason is that the series is shifting its setting from the spooky New York town to Washington D.C. where Tom Mison’s Ichabod Crane will now find himself working alongside a new rag-tag crew.
All up five new series regulars will be added to the cast including a new Scully-type female lead named Anna, an eager research analyst named Seth, a female MacGyver-type named Rosa, and a male season-long villain. Casting for all these roles is now underway.
With the Headless Horseman gone, the female lead gone and the show no longer in the same setting, there’s understandable question over whether the show can really be called “Sleepy Hollow” anymore.
