The first footage from Rawson Marshall Thurber’s action thriller “Skyscraper,” starring Dwayne Johnson, has gone online in a tease ahead of the film’s trailer premiere during Super Bowl Sunday.
Like “Mission: Impossible – Fallout,” its expected a truncated version of the trailer will air during the game with the full version of the trailer going online immediately or shortly after.
Johnson plays former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it.
A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line. Neve Campbell, Chin Han, Pablo Schreiber and Noah Taylor co-star in the film which opens July 13th.
