Earleir this week, concept artist Jerad S.Marantz used Instagram to show off some of the art he produced for the film and the villains which includes a mention of the character Super-Skrull. Said artwork was displayed last weekend during the San Diego Comic Con.
Samuel L. Jackson is set to reprise his role as Nick Fury opposite Brie Larson as Captain Marvel in a story set in the early 1990s. Shooting will kick off in January Los Angeles. Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing the film.
Honored to find out this morning that my #skrull designs were shown by the #mcu at #comiccon2017 At first I was afraid that the artwork got leaked and I was a bit panicked, but fortunately it was done on purpose :-) I did these designs while working in house at #marvel on #captainmarvel for the very talented @andyparkart You should all check out his Captain Marvel design. It was also released and is amazing! #marvelcinematicuniverse #marvelmovies #marvel #skrulls #superskrulls #aliens #badguys
That’s not the only bit of art today as The Art of VFX site has posted a high-res photo of the ‘Iron Spider’ Spider-Man costume glimpsed at the end of “Spider-Man Homecoming” and seen in use in “Avengers: Infinity War”. The article confirms the suit was designed primarily for “Avengers” rather than ‘Homecoming’. Read the full interview here.
