Paramount Pictures and Skydance Media have announced a July 27th 2018 release date for the sixth installment in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise.
Production is slated to begin in the spring of 2017 with Christopher McQuarrie, who helmed “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation,” once again writing and directing.
Alongside Tom Cruise, many of the key cast from the last one such as Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Jeremy Renner and Ving Rhames are expected back. Should it stick to that date, it will open against James Wan’s “Aquaman” film.
Paramount Pictures has also set a December 22nd 2017 release for Alexander Payne’s “Downsizing”.
