Six More Join HBO’s “Westworld” TV Remake

Jeffrey Wright (“Casino Royale”), Rodrigo Santoro (“300”), Shannon Woodward (“Raising Hope”), Ingrid Bolso Berdal (“Hercules”), Angela Sarafyan (“Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2”) and Simon Quarterman have joined the cast of the Anthony Hopkins-led HBO TV series based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 film “Westworld”.

Like the original, this will deal with a high-tech, highly-realistic adult amusement park filled with lifelike androids. Guests may indulge in any adventure with the android population of the park, including sex and murder.

Hopkins plays Dr. Robert Ford, the creative director, chief programmer and chairman of the theme park Westworld. He has an uncompromising creative vision, and unorthodox methods of achieving it.

Wright will play the quixotic head of the park’s programming division. Woodward plays a sardonic rising employee under him who is charged with diagnosing the odd quirks of behaviors in the park’s hosts.

Santoro plays the darkly humoured and brutal Harlan Bell, Westworld’s perennial ‘most wanted’ bandit. Berdal will portray Armistice, a savage fighter and bandit.

Evan Rachel Wood portrays Dolores Abernathy, a quintessential farm girl of the frontier West who discovers that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie.

Sarafyan is Clementine Pennyfeather, one of Westworld’s most popular attractions. Quarterman plays the narrative director of Westworld whose inspired storylines consistently delight or terrify the guests and annoy his colleagues.

J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk will executive produce. Jonathan Nolan, who co-wrote the pilot, will executive produce and direct.
