Sitcom Hogans Heroes Gets A Sequel Series

Famed 1960s comedy “Hogan’s Heroes” is getting a reimagining with the help of original series co-creator Al Ruddy.

The original sitcom centered around a group of Allied POWs imprisoned in a German prison camp who secretly used the place to launch Allied espionage missions. It ran for 168 episodes on CBS from 1965-1971.

The new single-camera action adventure comedy series will be set in present day and focus on the descendants of the original heroes who are now scattered around the world and must now team up for a global treasure hunt.

Village Roadshow Entertainment Group and Rough Pictures will produce while Ruddy, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green and Jody Hill will executive produce.
