Bryan Singer is developing a remake of the 1981 John Boorman-directed fantasy classic “Excalibur” for Warner Bros, Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The project, a retelling of the King Arthur legend, is in early stages with the remake rights only just tied up. Singer’s involvement is still in the talking stage and it certainly won’t be his next project which will likely be the action fantasy “Jack the Giant Killer” for New Line or the “Battlestar Galactica” film at Universal Pictures.
Legendary Pictures may come aboard the project. Singer, Julie Yorn and Polly Johnsen will produce.
