Scribe Simon Kinberg (“Mr. & Mrs. Smith”) is set to re-write Fox 2000’s “Hardy Men” which Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller will headline says The Hollywood Reporter.
Shawn Levy is attached to direct the big-screen comedy, which follows the grown-up adventures of the Frank and Joe Hardy – amateur teen detectives from the 58-strong ‘Hardy Boys’ series of books.
Various scribes have worked on the project previously, and Kinberg will start from scratch and is expected to take the story in a new direction.
A January start of shooting has been set.
