Silent Night, Deadly Night Gets Remade

Malcolm McDowell will star in and Steven C. Miller (“The Aggression Scale”) will direct a loose remake of TriStar’s 1984 film “Silent Night, Deadly Night” for Genre Company and Inferno’s Ember Prods. reports


The story follows a local police department’s search for the killer Santa Claus terrorizing a remote Midwestern town on Christmas Eve.

McDowell plays the sheriff in this version which begins shooting this month ahead of a holiday release in the United States through Anchor Bay.

Richard Saperstein, Brian Witten, Shara Kay and Phyllis Laing will produce. The original ‘Silent’ spawned four sequels.
