Apple has given a straight-to-series order to a psychological thriller series from writer Tony Basgallop (“Berlin Station,” “Hotel Babylon,” “24: Legacy”) which has M. Night Shyamalan onboard to executive produce.
The half-hour series has received a ten-episode order, with Shyamalan set to direct the first episode. Specifics of the story are under wraps.
Ashwin Rajan, Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black and Steve Tisch will also executive produce. The project marks Shyamalan’s second foray into television following “Wayward Pines” at Fox which was cancelled this past week after two seasons.
Shyamalan has been filming the “Split” and “Unbreakable” combined sequel “Glass” which is slated to be released January 2019.
