Showtime has ordered the 1980s-set comedy “Black Monday” to series with Don Cheadle set to star and executive produce. David Caspe and Jordan Cahan serve as showrunners while Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg directed the pilot.
The story begins on October 19th 1987, the worst stock market crash in the history of Wall Street. The series follows a group of outsiders who took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system.
Andrew Rannells, Regina Hall, Paul Scheer, Yassir Lester, Michael James Scott, Eugene Cordero, Casey Wilson and Kurt Braunohler co-star in the series which received a ten-episode order and is set to premiere in 2019.
