Showtime Cancels “White Famous” Series

After just one season of eight episodes, Showtime has cancelled its comedy “White Famous” starring SNL alum Jay Pharoah.

“Kalifornication” producer Tom Kapinos served as showrunner on the series which revolved around an African-American comedian struggling to maintain his credibility with his core audience while also striving to crossover into becoming ‘white famous’.

The series, executive produced by Jamie Foxx who recurred on the show, drew both negative reviews and a small audience of under two million viewers in multiplatform airings.
