“Shooter” Aims To Air As Planned Despite Injury

Actor Ryan Phillippe broke his leg over the weekend in an off-set accident that happened during time out from production on the second season of his USA drama series “Shooter” reports THR.

In a series of tweets yesterday, Phillippe wrote: “I didn’t injure myself doing a stunt or anywhere near the set of Shooter. I was the victim of a freak accident during a family outing on Sunday. My leg is badly broken & required surgical attention, but I will make a full recovery, am in good hands, and will be back in action soon.”

It is yet unclear whether the show will take a brief hiatus while Phillippe is recovering or will film around his injury, which would involve tweaking existing scripts.

Producers are reportedly confident that all ten episodes of the second season, which premieres tomorrow night, will be delivered on time to air as scheduled. Filming was underway on the ninth episode when the incident happened.

i'm going to be ok & i appreciate your concern. -🖤 me
