SHIELD, “Carter,” “Orphan” All Renewed

With the TV upfronts imminent, networks are making final decisions about which shows on the bubble will be returning to our screens next season.

ABC in particular has made their choices public today with over twenty series officially set to come back including “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD,” “Agent Carter,” “Castle,” “Scandal,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away With Murder,” “Nashville,” “Black-ish,” “American Crime,” “Secrets & Lies,” “Galavant,” “Beyond the Tank,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle” and “Modern Family”.

Not everyone survived though. New shows “Forever” and “Cristela” have been cancelled, as has “Resurrection” and the already planned to finish up “Revenge”.

They aren’t the only network making announcements. BBC America has renewed its original sci-fi series “Orphan Black” for a fourth season. Production will commence this fall on a further ten episodes of the acclaimed and convoluted cloning drama which is scheduled to air in Q2 2016.

Also, The CW has finally made it official that “Hart of Dixie” has ended, and have cancelled their angel-centric mid-season drama “The Messengers”. It’s no loss for The CW though who’ve already renewed pretty much all their other series including “The 100,” “Arrow,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Flash,” “iZombie,” “Jane the Virgin,” “The Originals,” “Reign,” “Supernatural,” and “The Vampire Diaries”.
