Sheridan Plans “In America” HBO Series

Jim Sheridan’s 2002 drama “In America,” about a family of struggling Irish immigrants living in a shabby Hell’s Kitchen apartment building, is set to become a HBO TV drama series.

Sheridan and his daughters Naomi and Kirsten have all signed on to develop the project which are inspired by their early years in New York City.

Fox TV Studios will produce the story of a broke Irish family settling in an apartment building in the Bronx where they struggle to befriend their neighbors and are haunted by their past.
