Shazam Preview Expands To 1200 Screens

Following success with a sneak peek for “Aquaman,” and rave early reviews last week, Warner Bros. Pictures and Fandango have confirmed that not only will there be early screenings of the upcoming “Shazam” film but they’re going wide.

The companies have set a March 23rd date, a full two weeks before the movie opens in wide release on April 5th, to preview the whole film and they’re not being coy about it with plans to screen it in approximately 1,200 theaters across the country. “Shazam!” tickets are now on sale today, exclusively for Fandango VIP members.

With the shouting of one word, streetwise 14-year-old foster kid Billy Batson (Asher Angel) can turn into the adult superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi) courtesy of an ancient wizard.

Still a kid at heart inside a superpowered body, Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test?

Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Mark Strong). Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman and Ian Chen co-star.
