The Shat is about to hit The Face.
“Star Trek” legend William Shatner is set to provide the voice of Two-Face in a sequel to “Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders,” the upcoming direct-to-video film starring the voices of original 1960s Batman actors Adam West and Burt Ward as Batman and Robin.
Shatner never appeared on the 1960s Batman series, he was too busy working on “Star Trek,” and that incarnation of Batman famously never featured Two-Face as a villain despite famed writer Harlan Ellison being hired to pen a script with him in it.
The announcement was made Thursday at New York Comic-Con during the world premiere screening of the animated film. The sequel is already in the works with a 2017 release date planned.
“Return of the Caped Crusaders” is set to have a limited, one-day run on the big screen on Monday October 10th ahead of its Digital HD release October 11th, and its Blu-ray, DVD and VOD release November 1st.
