The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation has announced the winners for this year’s Razzie Awards with the “Fantastic Four” reboot and the film adaptation of E.L. James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” taking the top honor of ‘Worst Picture’ ahead of “Jupiter Ascending,” “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” and “Pixels”.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” was a major player in various categories with honors including worst actor (Jamie Dornan), worst actress (Dakota Johnson), worst screen combo (Dornan & Johnson) and worst screenplay. “Fantastic Four” took much of the rest including worst remake/rip-off/sequel and worst director for Josh Trank.
Eddie Redmayne’s “Jupiter Ascending” performance won worst supporting actor, while Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting’s work in both “Alvin & The Chipmunks: Road Chip” and “The Wedding Ringer” scored worst supporting actress. The recently included and public voted on ‘Razzie Redeemer Award’, which acknowledges past Razzie winners who have gone on to better things, went to Sylvester Stallone for “Creed”.
