The other week filmmaker Cary Fukunaga says the script for the next James Bond film is still being worked on, and as a result he couldn’t say whether any of the previous film’s co-stars would be returning alongside Daniel Craig.
In fact, the “True Detective” and “Jane Eyre” helmer quite effectively shot down rumors of several actors sitting this one out, saying anyone else who claims to know is lying.
Cut to today it seems he’s changed his mind. Speaking with The Daily Mail, Fukunaga himself reportedly confirmed that the three series regulars – Ralph Fiennes as M, Ben Whishaw as Q, and Naomie Harris as Moneypenny – are all back,.
On top of that, Lea Seydoux’s Dr Madeleine Swann from “Spectre” is also returning with Fukunaga saying: “You have some of the best actors in the world here. Why wouldn’t I have the best coming back?!”
Fukunaga, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are working on the script and filming begins in the Spring ahead of a February 2020 release.
