Director Peter Segal was on hand in San Francisco this weekend to talk about the film version of “Get Smart” opening this Summer. Along with debuting a new trailer scheduled to hit theatres next Friday, he added the following tidbits:
The film surprisingly features a lot of improvised lines, Barbara Feldman will not make a cameo, the final scene of the movie was shot in Moscow’s Red Square, and Segal says he’d certainly be interested in doing a sequel should it be successful.
Segal also says that a screen adaptation of DC’s Captain Marvel comic “Shazam” is still slated at his next project, but the start date was delayed due to the writer’s strike.
Now that it’s over, John August is back working on the script. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is still set for the role of Black Adam.
