It’s Jackie Chan vs. what’s left of the IRA in the upcoming action thriller “The Foreigner” which just released its second trailer today. “Casino Royale” and “Goldeneye” helmer Martin Campbell directs the film based on Stephen Leather’s 1992 novel “The Chinaman”.
Chan plays a humble London businessman whose teenage daughter dies in a senseless act of politically motivated terrorism.
Setting off on revenge-fuelled vendetta, he becomes caught up in a cat-and-mouse conflict with a British government official (Pierce Brosnan) whose own past may hold the clues to the identities of the elusive killers.
“The Foreigner” opens in the United States on October 13th.
