Sebastian Croft To Play A Teen Ned Stark

One of the more unexpected moments of the fifth season of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” was in fact the opening moment of the season with the show’s first (and only so far) flashback involving a young Cersei Lannister.

Now it looks like we’ll be getting another with 13-year-old stage actor Sebastian Croft having reportedly been cast in the role of a young Ned Stark for the upcoming sixth season of the fantasy drama says Watchers on the Wall.

Rumors of a young Ned Stark’s appearance cropped up weeks ago in casting calls seeking a “young boy with brown hair, a narrow face, green eyes, and the use of a Northern accent.” All that’s known of the scene is that he’ll be practicing swordsmanship with an older boy during the scene.

Despite his young age Croft has appeared in London West End productions of “Les Miserables” and “Matilda,” done “Coriolanus” at the Donmar and led a UK national tour of “Oliver”.
