Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired film rights to Robert Kolker’s bestselling unsolved Long Island murder case novel “Lost Girls: an Unsolved American Mystery”.

The murderer used a waterfront roadside on Long Island’s South Shore as the dumping ground for his victims, all of whom were escorts advertising online. Kevin McCormick and David Kennedy are producing, while Michael Werwie is penning the script. [Source: Deadline]

Crazy Rich Asians
Producer Nina Jacobson has acquired feature rights to first-time novelist Kevin Kwan’s comedic best-seller “Crazy Rich Asians”. Jacobson and Brad Simpson will produce.

The story follows three wealthy pedigreed Chinese families who get into a tizzy when the heir to one of Asia’s most massive fortunes brings home his American-born Chinese girlfriend to the wedding of the season. [Source: Deadline]

Warner Bros. Pictures has locked a deal with “Game of Thrones” scribe Dave Hill and “Hanna” scribe David Farr to pen a new take on the “Merlin” legend at the studio.
