In news of another fifth entry in a series, Summit Entertainment has hired John Swetnam (“Black Sky”) to write the script for a fifth movie in the “Step Up” dance film series.

Scott Speer is returning to direct while Jennifer Gibgot and Adam Shankman are producing. The film aims to get all the leads of the previous films to return in cameo roles, however it’s not sure if the first film’s star Channing Tatum will be among those.
