Scribes Hired For “Turtles,” “Addams” Reboots

“Iron Man” scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway have been hired to pen the reboot of the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” franchise for Paramount Pictures and Platinum Dunes says Deadline.

The live-action film is based on the origins of the iconic crime fighters and will be done in the spirit of the original mid-80’s comics.

Meanwhile “Ed Wood” scribes Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski are set to pen the script for Tim Burton’s upcoming “The Addams Family” reboot reports Deadline.

The project is a stop motion adaptation of Charles Addam’s original single-panel cartoons which inspired the classic 1960’s TV series. Burton will also serve as a producer on the writing duo’s upcoming “Big Eyes” about artist Margaret Keane’s legal battle in the 60’s over ownership of her work.
