Brett Ratner has become involved in a film adaptation of Craig Marks and Rob Tannebaum’s book “I Want My MTV: The Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution” for Sony Pictures.

Jody Lambert (“Welcome to People”) is adapting the non-fiction book described as an oral history of the rise of MTV in the late 80s and early 90s from those involved in the channel’s rise to glory. [Source: The Hollywood Reporter]

Lauren Pemberton is No Longer in A Relationship
Millennium NuImage has purchased Isaac Aptaker & Elizabeth Berger’s rom-com spec script “Lauren Pemberton is No Longer in A Relationship”.

The story focuses on a guy who reconnects with his high school crush through Facebook when he discovers she is single only to find out that he is not the only one in pursuit. [Source: Variety]

Bond Girl
Gran Via Prods. and Wild Fiesta Productions have picked up the film rights to Erin Duffy’s recently published novel “Bond Girl.” Mark Johnson, Tom Williams and Ben Horton are producing with a scribe currently being sought.

The story follows a college grad’s efforts to crack an elitist boys’ club at one of Wall Street’s most esteemed firms. She begins to climb her way up to the top just as the financial crisis hits. [Source: Variety]
