Screen Gems has announced plans for a remake of Otto Preminger’s 1965 crime thriller “Bunny Lake is Missing” which starred Laurence Olivier, Carol Lynley, and Keir Dullea.
Still in the early development stages, Merriam Modell’s original novel follows a mother who comes to pick up her daughter Bunny from school only to find her missing and so she and her brother begin looking.
When the police start investigating, they can’t find any evidence of a child ever living there and learn Bunny was the name of the mother’s imaginary childhood friend.
The new take is said to revolve around divorce and child custody. Adam Fields and Victoria Preminger will produce.
