Scott Gimple Takes Over “Walking Dead”

Frank Darabont ran the series for the first season-and-a-half, Glen Mazzara took over for the next season-and-a-half.

Now, executive producer Scott Gimple has been promoted to showrunner on “The Walking Dead” for its fourth season.

Gimple joined the show at the start of its second season as producer. He’s also penned five episodes for the show along with the film “Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.”

Gimple will take over from Mazzara once work on the remainder of the third season has finished. The second half of the the third season returns on February 10th.
