Universal Pictures and Imagine Entertainment have set “Futurama” and SNL writer Kristin Gore to pen a psychological thriller film adaptation of “The Men Who Stare At Goats” author Jon Ronson’s book “The Psychopath Test”.
Scarlett Johansson is attached to star and Jay Roach to direct the project which Brian Grazer, Finola Dwyer and Amanda Posey will produce.
The story deals with how the medical community tries to diagnose and classify an elusive group – remorseless, deadly psychopaths. Around 1% of people are said to be psychopaths – devoid of empathy, manipulative, deceitful, charming, seductive, and delusional. The book explores their world and the madness industry.
Roach and Gore are also teaming on the HBO comedy pilot W”omen In Space” about a group of women on a mission to colonize another planet.
