Producer Ryan Murphy’s go-to actress Sarah Paulson is set to star in yet another of his anthology drama series – FX’s “Feud”. Murphy made the announcement on Twitter today, revealing that Paulson will play Oscar-winning actress Geraldine Page in the production.
The first eight-episode season puts the focus on the famous rivalry that occurred between Joan Crawford (played by Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (played by Susan Sarandon) during the making of 1962 feature film “What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?”.
The feud was a big part of the film’s popularity at the time and helped it land five Oscar nominations. Catherine Zeta-Jones also stars in the eight-episode series as Olivia de Havilland while Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci, Judy Davis and Dominic Burgess take on supporting roles.
Paulson is currently up for two Emmy nominations for her work in two of Murphy’s series – “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and “American Horror Story: Hotel”.
