Saoirse Ronan Asks “How I Live Now”

Saoirse Ronan (“Hanna,” “Atonement”) is set to headline Kevin Macdonald’s indie drama “How I Live Now” for Film 4 and Cowboy Films says Variety.

Based on the 2004 novel by Meg Rosoff, Ronan will play a contemporary teenage New Yorker who spends the summer with family in the English countryside.

When a third world war breaks out and insurgents invade, she and a younger girl must survive alone in the woods as they try to make it to safety.

Jeremy Brock and Tony Grisoni wrote the script, Brock and Macdonald previously worked together on “The Last King of Scotland”. Charles Steel and Alasdair Flind are producing.
