Following in the wake of their success with “Bird Box,” actress Sandra Bullock and Netflix are re-teaming for an adaptation of the Millarworld comic book series “Reborn” which will be helmed by Chris McKay (“The LEGO Batman Movie”).
Mark Millar (“Kick-Ass”) and Greg Capullo (“Spawn”) created the comic which follows a woman named Bonnie Black who dies in a Manhattan hospital and finds herself reborn in Adystria, the land of the afterlife that holds her family and friends, along with monsters and dragons and a war between good and evil forces.
Upon the realization her late husband is nowhere to be found, she sets out with her late father and a sword to find him somewhere in the battle-heavy area. Bullock, Roy Lee and Miri Yoon will produce and Bullock is reportedly in talks to star.
Netflix has previously ordered multiple adaptations from Millar’s publishing company Millarworld including “Jupiter’s Legacy,” “American Jesus,” “Empress” and more. Millar properties that have been translated for the screen include “Kingsman,” “Kick-Ass” and “Wanted”.
