Adam Sandler, Andy Samberg are in talks to team on the comedy “I Hate You Dad” for Sony Pictures and Happy Madison says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story centers on a father (Sandler) who moves in on the eve of the wedding of his son (Samberg) and promptly begins feuding with the bride-to-be.
It’s an odd casting choice as the pair are separated by only a little over a decade in age. The project is still in early development and no director is on board.
David Caspe penned the original script which David Wain and Ken Marino have re-written.
