Sam Raimi is developing and may potentially direct an untitled action adventure movie previously titled “Stormfall” which has been set up at Warners Bros. Pictures.
The story is said to be a heist caper set in the Carolinas when a massive tornado touches down, with the action centering on the relationship between one man and his older mentor. Writers are now being sought to pen the script with Raimi set to at least produce.
This is not to be confused with Rob Cohen’s “Category 5” which begins filming in August. That project follows a trio of people who must stop a group of hackers who infiltrate a U.S. Mint facility in a small coastal town to pull off a major heist and then get away before the facility (and any evidence of their crime) is washed away by the storm of the century.
