Ghost House Pictures has scored the film rights to R.L. Stine’s novel “The Sitter” and are planning a film adaptation entitled “Au Pair” reports Heat Vision Blog.
The story centers on a young woman who escapes an abusive relationship to become a nanny for a well-off family in the Hampton Mountains.
The tale takes a turn for the worse when she discovers a secret that puts herself, and the kids she’s caring for, in danger.
Dana Stevens will adapt the script while Sam Raimi, Robert G. Tapert, Sean Furst and Bryan Furst will produce.
