Though he was already pretty much a lock, Ryan Reynolds is now closing his deal to star in the long-in-development “X-Men” spinoff feature “Deadpool”. Reynolds announced the news via his posting of an image earlier today on Twitter.
Reynolds, who played a variation of the wise-talking mercenary character in 2009’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” has been expected to star for year.
20th Century Fox had already announced a February 12th 2016 release date for the film a while back, and now it has been indicated that shooting on the project will kick off in March next year.
Tim Miller is directing the superhero film from a script by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Lauren Shuler Donner is producing.
