Warner Bros. Pictures is apparently negotiating with Amblin Entertainment regarding a potential reboot of their 1984 horror comedy “Gremlins”.
The report comes from Vulture, which posted the Zack Snyder/Star Wars scoop the other day that was quickly shot down. Most of the time though, they’re usually on the money.
They add a big caveat with this report, saying “negotiations of this sort have happened several times over the years, but making Spielberg’s deal always proved too daunting a financial prospect.”
Spielberg would also have to be involved in some capacity. A Spielberg spokesman claims that the appropriate executives were not available for comment.
