Scott Rudin is set to produce the Martin Scorsese-directed “Sinatra” biopic at Universal Pictures reports Deadline.
Exploring the life of singer-actor Frank Sinatra, Peter Guber and Cathy Schulman brought the project to the studio two years ago after they secured life and music rights from Frank Sinatra Enterprises.
Phil Alden Robinson penned the previous draft but it’s expected a new scribe will be employed soon. Tina Sinatra will also produce.
As Scorsese is finishing up “Hugo Cabret” and is eyeing “Silence” and “The Wolf of Wall Street” as his immediate next efforts, this project is likely quite a long way off.
