Following the $519 million global success of the first “Ant-Man” film last year, Marvel Studios quickly approved the sequel “Ant-Man and the Wasp” to head into production.
The film’s star Paul Rudd has been working on the script for the film alongside Adam McKay (“The Big Short”), just like they did on the first film. “Transformers” writers Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari are also involved this time.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight this week, Rudd offered an update on the project’s development:
“We’ve been coming up with the story, just turned in a treatment, but it’s so preliminary. We’ll see. We have an idea of what it might look like but it could change a lot from where we’re at now.”
Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas are all expected to return for the film which will open July 6th 2018.
