Rooney Mara (“The Social Network,” “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo”) will reunite with her “Tanner Hall” director Francesca Gregorini on the indie drama “Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes” says Variety.
Mara will play a troubled teenager who agrees to look after her new neighbor’s “baby,” which is actually a very life-like doll.
She decides to go along with the charade while befriending the delusional woman, who happens to be the spitting image of the title character’s late mother.
Gregorini penned the script, Paul Schiff is producing and Mara will serve as a co-producer. Shooting aims to kick off in the Summer.
