Ron Howard is set to direct an adaptation of Jill Bolte Taylor’s biography “My Stroke of Insight” for Sony Pictures and Imagine Entertainment according to Deadline.
Taylor was a neuro-anatomist who suffered a massive stroke at age 37. Losing all motor functions and past memories in the space of a few hours, it took her eight years to heal.
She used her knowledge of brain functions to write about her experiences while healing.
Jodie Foster is apparently being considered for the project but isn’t attached at present. Semi Chellas will adapt the script while Howard and Brian Grazer will produce.
