National Geographic has announced that it has ordered its first-ever scripted series, the global anthology “Genius,” from Fox 21 TV Studios, Imagine TV, OddLot and EUE/Sokolow.
Ron Howard is on board to direct the first episode of the program which is going straight-to-series. Nat Geo says it envisions multiple seasons for the program. Each season will center on different innovators and dramatises their stories, with Albert Einstein the subject of season one.
