Ron Howard Helms “Lovecraft” Tale?

A film version of the upcoming graphic novel “The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft” is in the works at Universal and Imagine Entertainment with Ron Howard potentially directing reports Variety.

Mac Carter and Jeff Blitz penned the book which transforms the young writer’s darkest nightmares into reality when he comes across a book that puts a curse on him and lets the evils he conjures up loose on the world.

The story also borrows elements from the legendary horror author’s life, such as his family’s struggle with mental illness and his own bouts with writer’s block.

Carter will write the script. Lovecraft’s most famous an influential works included such titles as “At the Mountains of Madness,” “Dagon,” “The Call of Cthulhu,” “Herbert West – Reanimator,” “The Outsider,” “The Dreams in the Witch House” and “The Shadow Out of Time”.
