Following the second trailer released last week, Empire has revealed a new cover story for “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” with a cast shot of the Death Star plan-stealing rebels. An alternate cover will debut tomorrow while the exclusive limited edition subscribers cover will be unveiled on Monday.
Felicity Jones, Mads Mikklesen, Forest Whitaker, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Alan Tudyk, and Riz Ahmed star in the film which opens December 16th.
That isn’t the only “Star Wars” news today though. Author J.W. Rinzler, who penned extensive behind-the-scenes books for each film in the original trilogy, has revealed that one he did titled “The Making of Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has been delayed until at least October. Taking to Twitter, he says “you’ll have to ask Lucasfilm/Disney/publisher why.”
Also out is a new fan trailer which is causing a lot of discussion. The clip is essentially a pitch for an Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off feature. The trailer, mostly made of footage from “Last Days in the Desert,” explores Kenobi’s time on Tatooine in the years after his fight with Anakin Skywalker.
