Paramount Pictures has given the green light to its long gestating road trip comedy “My Mother’s Curse” says The Hollywood Reporter.
The story follows an inventor of an organic cleaning product (Seth Rogen) who invites his mother (Barbra Streisand) on a cross-country road trip to sell his product to marketing outlets.
However they both have secret agendas. He plans to reunite her with a long lost love from her youth, she plans to help him overcome his fear of commitment.
Dan Fogelman (“Cars,” “Crazy, Stupid, Love”) penned the script and Anne Fletcher (“27 Dresses,” “The Proposal”) is directing.
Evan Goldberg, Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn are producing while shooting is scheduled to kick off this spring.
