Filmmaker Sam Esmail overcame the lack of audience for his first film “Comet” by creating last summer’s most talked about TV series – USA’s “Mr. Robot”. With the success of that, one of his old scripts has picked up new life.
Deadline reports that STX Entertainment picked up the rights to his script “Sequels, Remakes, and Adaptations”. The story follows a young man [who] is told by an angel that all humans on earth are given 500,000 chances to live a complete and fulfilled life, but [then] finds out he’s already used up all but his last chance to finally get it right.
The script made the 2008 Black List alongside such other then unproduced screenplays as “Django Unchained”. The second season of “Mr. Robot” returns on July 13th.
